Special Guests this Week!

This week, our high school students in English and Music both had special guests visit their classes. In Adriana Welby's high school English class, Elizabeth Rosner, author of five books of fiction, nonfiction, and poetry, visited. Students have been discussing themes of generational trauma, and were able to ask Elizabeth Rosner about her experience writing through generational trauma in different formats.

In Mr. Nause's middle and high school music classes, concert pianist Monica Chung and international cellist Laura Metcalf performed a few pieces. They performed a variety of music, showcasing their collaboration and musicianship skills. The students also had the opportunity to ask them questions about being a musician, how long does it take to practice, and what is your favorite cereal. These musicians, along with violinist Livia Sohn, will be performing a concert on Saturday, December 2nd at 5:00pm at St. Michael's church in Lihue.
