Standard Achievement Testing Next Week
Students in grades 3-12 will take SAT tests on Monday through Thursday mornings next week. Our teachers find that giving these tests
in the fall, rather than in the spring helps in planning programs that best meet the needs of their students. They provide lots of useful information which will be shared with parents. Please help your child do his or her best by making sure they get lots of rest and a good breakfast.

Gift Wrap Sale

FIRST GRADE The class is studying the sun, moon and earth. They have done several experiments to show that the sun produces heat and light.

NA PUA KEIKI The class is happy to welcome their student intern, Danitza Galvan, who is earning a bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education and a certificate in Montessori Education. Danitza is originally from Peru and is bilingual. She holds a certificate in Translation and Interpretation from UCLA, and has been translating in the state and county courts. She moved to Kaua'i last spring and taught at K.I.D.S. pre-school.
DRAMA The cast for the 7th grade production of Jungalbook will be announced on Monday and rehearsals will begin. They are designing a set to represent a playground, with bars, swings, slides, etc. If you have left-over pieces from your backyard play set, they might be able to use them. They are also looking for scaffolding to borrow. Please contact Peggy E. if you have ideas, and stop by this DePaul University website to get a glimpse of their vision.
