Elementary School News

The first grade took an overnight excursion to the Kokee Discovery Center. Students learned about invasive and endemic plants in the Kokee forest, cut down invasive strawberry guava trees from which they made a tepee, tie-dyed t-shirts, jumped into a trust trampoline held by their parents, and participated in a scavenger hunt though the Kokee Natural History Museum. It was a fantastic learning experience!

Ms. Becky's third grade class has had some exciting activities and learning experiences in the last couple of weeks! Sustainable Coastlines joined third graders on Wednesday to take their learning deeper into the plastic pollution issue facing our island and state. Yesterday, they lead Makahiki Games with Kamehameha Schools' Erin Cobb-Adams and Kumu Kauka. They had an incredible time!
