Our students are busy planting seeds in our Aloha Garden which was established four years ago with the purpose of teaching our children about fresh food sources and to experience first hand seed to table. We enjoy cooking, tasting, and sharing our harvest with friends, families, and our community. There are many other important reasons why we do this. It encourages healthy eating habits and garden tasks engage a variety of lower and upper body muscles. It boost self confident as the children experience success in growing plants. Gardening exercises important reasoning, initiation, planning, and organization skills.
