Exploring Our Community!

The journey into our community is to learn about our world and extend our learning out from what we do at school.  This excursion was at the base of Sleeping Giant as we extended our student’s curiosity of big and small things in our world. Curious mindset learners experience joy in the process while increasing their knowledge in regards to a particular provocation.  Inquiry learners have more of a desire to learn and succeed to satisfy themselves and their curiosity.  Curiosity is at the heart of what motivates successful kids to learn and what keeps them learning throughout their lives.  It facilitates engagement, critical thinking, and reasoning.  We nurture children’s curiosity and other life-long learning skills when we encourage them to identify and seek answers to questions that pique their interests.  Curiosity is power.  It can change lives!
