Bio
Andrew arrived on Kauai in 2016 to accept a call to serve as Rector for St. Michael and All Angels Episcopal Church in Lihue. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree in history from the University of Colorado-Boulder and a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia. He was a trial lawyer in Kansas City for 11 years, specializing in the defense of physicians and hospitals in medical malpractice cases. In 2006, Andrew received a Master of Divinity degree from the Episcopal Seminary of the Southwest in Austin, Texas and thereafter has served as a priest in Florida, Colorado and Oahu, Hawaii. Last year, he was a coach for the 2017-2018 Mock Trial Team, and he looks forward to expanding his commitment to Island School by sharing his passion for history and teaching. Andrew lives with his wife Renate, who is the Island School Counselor, and one of their six daughters, Rayna, who is in the eighth grade at the school.
