Health Sciences Career Day with Ms. Renate

Last week, twenty Island School students accompanied Renate McMullen, college counselor, to Wilcox Hospital on Friday for a Health Sciences Career Day.  Students heard from physicians, nurses, dieticians, ultrasound techs, occupational therapists, risk managers, and more!  Hands-on booths were available for trying out laparoscopic surgery tools, stethoscopes, pharmacy tools, vein finders, and other equipment used every day by our health care professionals The day culminated in a hospital tour.
