Last week, Island School Seniors presented their capstone projects to their high school peers, staff and faculty, board members, and parents! This is a longstanding tradition at Island School, which requires students to either research a topic of interest to them or complete a project and report on their process. Research topics this year included the medicinal effects of fungi, the physical benefits of paddling, and the evolution of snowboarding. Projects included restoring a waʻa, creating a community garden, and creating a plan to transform the Weinberg Gym into a study space for students. Congratulations to our class of 2026, who are one step closer to their graduation day!
