Middle School makes a visit to Na Pua Keiki

This week, our middle school STEM team visited the students in Nā Pua Keiki to show them their boomilevers, which they are creating for their Science Olympiad competition! A boomilever is a Science Olympiad event where students design and build a cantilevered beam or truss structure that extends vertically supports a weighted load.

STEM students created their boomilevers out of balsa, which Nā Pua Keiki also use in their woodworking activities. Nā Pua Keiki observed the upper school students conducting their experiment and asked them about their investigation process!
