We are excited to announce the upcoming 2025 Kauai Law & Justice Academy, an enriching educational opportunity for high school students across Kauaʻi.

The Kauaʻi Law & Justice Academy is a project of the Commission to Promote and Advance Civic Education (PACE) and its Community Engagement Committee. It is a three-day intensive program for high school students interested in justice, the law, leadership, advocacy, and/or careers in the legal field. The academies have been held on Maui and Hawaiʻi and are modeled after the highly successful Richardson Law & Justice Summer Program on Oʻahu. The goal of the Academy is to introduce high school students to issues of law and justice, build their skills in discussion, research, debate, analysis, and advocacy, and provide them with the tools and inspiration to become active and engaged citizens of their communities.

PACE, along with other community partners, provides the Academy to accepted students free of charge. Although this project aims to include students from all over Kauaʻi, PACE cannot offer lodging or travel arrangements for students.

Twenty-four participants will be selected from among students who apply. The academy application is open to all public and private high school students on Kauai interested in law, justice, advocacy, or potential careers in the legal field.
