Community Event - September 6

Pihana ka ‘Ikena Kauaʻi is hosting Nā Mamo Kaiāulu, a traditional healing and cultural practices workshop on September 6, 2025 at the War Memorial Convention Hall from 8:00am to 3:30pm.

This is a free community event that will feature the work of kumu loea from across Hawaiʻi. Sign up for specialty workshops in lāʻau lapaʻau, lomilomi, hoʻoponopono, and lua. There will also be ongoing demonstrations in kapa, ulana, lei hulu, kuʻi ʻai, etc. Be sure to support the work of our awesome Kauaʻi non-profits and agencies!

There will be a food booth, country store and silent auction. Workshops include lomi lomi, La’au lapa’au, ho’oponopono, bone carving and much more. They will also have live demonstrations on protocols, lauhala weaving, and kapa making. The schedule of events will be released closer to the event date.
