This week, first and third graders had their first Buddy meet up! Students met the buddies that they will have for the remainder of the school year, playing games and getting to know one another.

The Buddy Program is a cherished tradition at Island School, pairing students from different grade levels to help foster connection and mentorship. Throughout the year, buddies meet up for field trips and holiday activities. Kindergarten and 4th Grade pair up, 5th Grade and Nā Pua Keiki, 2nd Grade and 4th Grade, and 3rd Grade and 1st Grade pair up.
