Book Art in Middle School

Sixth grade artists completed this quarter by exploring book art. Each student created a personalized “Special Book,” combining art and design, simple bookmaking, journaling, and thoughtful planning to capture who they are at this moment in time. Students reflected on the value of tangible keepsakes in an increasingly digital and disposable world. Guided by essential questions—Who am I? What do I value? What do I want to remember about this moment?—they used their answers as the content for their books, transforming personal reflection into meaningful works of art.
