Mural Work in Fifth Grade

This spring, the fifth graders will be diving into the powerful mural work of the Kakaʻako neighborhood on their ʻOahu trip! In preparation, students have been studying the work of Honolulu muralist Kamea Hadar, and through a special connection from the Gushman ʻOhana, will get to work with his assistant, up-and-coming muralist, Noa Hardisty! Noa was on campus with his partner, Issy, working on a mural outside of Room A and in-between Rooms 5 and 6. Exposing our keiki, (participating and not!) to artists beyond our island this week inspired minds and broadened horizons!
