We would first like to introduce a new student who joined us this week, Taysley Omura-Hernandez. As a special bonus, her mom, Alysha Palacio, will also be joining our community as a Kauaʻi Community College student worker and practicum student. We are so happy to welcome both Taysley and Alysha to our learning ʻohana!
Our week was filled with new experiences and a return to familiar rhythms. Students explored claywork, engaged in new building projects in the wood shop, and settled back into our normal daily routines. These experiences allowed for creativity, problem-solving, and collaboration as we moved into the semester with curiosity and confidence.
