This week, students in Second Grade released some of their monarch butterflies! Students have been watching their monarch caterpillars create their cocoons and turn into butterflies, in their science unit, "Plant and Animal Relationships". Students have been investigating the relationship between the monarch butterfly and the milkweed (cornflower) plant. This week, students finally released their butterflies outside of their classroom.
