Last week, students in Kumu Kalanakila’s Hawaiian language class began presenting their group projects. Each group chose a favorite sea creature to research and write about in ʻŌlelo Hawaiʻi, then presented their findings to the class. In addition to the research presentation, students also completed a creative component to enhance their project.
Last week, Kaelin '29, Jayden '28, and Jacob '28 presented on aku. As part of their creative component, they filleted and sliced a freshly caught aku to share with their classmates. Students enjoyed the fresh aku with shoyu and wasabi!
