In Ms. Nause's 6th Grade Geography class, students had the opportunity to interview a small business owner right here on Kaua'i! This gave students the opportunity to connect our learning to real life to understand how small businesses impact our community. Students then were able to compare and contrast what we learned from our Kaua'i-based entrepreneurs to what we learned about micro-businesses in Africa. We are so appreciative of all of the Island School community members who volunteered their time to teach our keiki!
