Selected Island School Middle School students traveled to Oʻahu last weekend to present their projects at the National History Day State Fair!

With his documentary “Rejected by Race: The Struggles of Chinese Immigrants in America,” Logan Ing won FIRST place in Junior Individual Documentaries, qualifying for the national competition! He also won the Associated Chinese University Women Award for an outstanding project in Chinese or Chinese-American history.

With his documentary “Soaring Into the Jet Age,” Nathaniel Knickel came home with the Martin F. Wurst award for an outstanding project related to transportation and machinery and its impact on history.

We are so proud of all of our students for all of their hard work over the last few months to represent Island School exceptionally!
