for Island School’s 2nd Annual Back-to-School Night!
Thursday, August 21st
5:00 - 7:00 p.m. Grades 6-12
Engage with teachers (and advisors in Upper School)
Experience learning spaces across campus
Have time with fellow parents and guardians to launch the year together
Please arrive between 4:30-4:50 pm if possible, as we will begin at 5pm SHARP so we can get everyone home on time, especially our teachers who have class bright and early the next day! **Food: Island School will provide simple sandwiches. If you would like to bring something to share (pupu or a sweet treat), wonderful! Don’t forget your water bottle. We’ll have water jugs for you to fill up from.
Upper School (Gr. 6-12) Parents/Guardians will begin in Wilcox Gym at 5pm.
Park in the lot to the side of Wilcox Gym.
What’s the plan?
Parent’s/Guardians will move through your child’s schedule, periods A- F, and have a chance to meet each of your child’s teachers and learn about the program your child is engaging in with them. The Grade level advisory teams will meet with you too, led by the Grade-level Deans.
This is an event for adults.
Childcare is available for Island School elementary students (Grades K-5) only.
Pizza and veggies will be provided for keiki in childcare.
If students in Grades 6-12 must remain on campus, we ask they not go into classrooms with parents and guardians due to space limitations, but remain in grade-level quad areas.
