Guest Educator in Sustainability

This week in Pat Gegen's Sustainability class, Dave Hubbard, a volunteer with the Breadfruit Institute and Island School alum, visited and talked with students about ʻulu. Dave talked with students about the different medicinal, culinary, and environmental uses of ʻulu. In the second half of class, students enjoyed hummus and chips made from ʻulu, and learned from Ms. Jen how to make lei with the leaves from the ʻulu tree.
