Second and Ninth Grade Collaboration

For the second year in a row, Ms. Lee's ninth grade Biology class conducted a sheep heart dissection. Students identified and explained different parts of the heart to visiting second graders, who had come with Ms. Amelia to observe. The younger students were full of curiosity, asking many questions and eagerly hoping to touch the sheep's heart. The experience gave both grade levels a meaningful opportunity to reinforce what they were learning while connecting with their younger peers.
