I hope you all are having a great week. Today kicked off with the pleasure of being a part of Elementary Morning Circle and all of us under the leadership of Ms. Sun singing the “mash up” of Somewhere Over the Rainbow and What a Wonderful World made popular by Israel “IZ” Kamakawiwo'ole. If you don’t know it, please go find it on whatever music app you keep. It will be a favorite fast! And then, to top off the morning, the Kindergarten class, under the caring guidance of Ms. Shantelle and Ms. Rachelle, charmed their peers by closing out Morning Circle with the annual performance of the Rainbow Song. I loved seeing the culmination performance of their color / rainbow unit where the older students sang along from their seats and swayed with their neighbors as we got to the “La la la la laaaaa la…” part. So sweet and a great right of passage for our youngest in elementary school.
