Have a Great Winter Break!
This afternoon as I made my way around campus I could feel how ready the students are for Winter Break! I hope you and your whole family have wonderful ways to close out 2025 and ring in the new year. At Island School, we have our rituals and traditions this time of year too – from the sweet Holiday Sing-a-Long with Elementary and Nā Pua Keiki that we got to enjoy today to secret gift exchanges and spirit weeks and lounge decorating competitions. And at the same time, Winter Break can be a necessary time for a change of routine - a chance to spend extra time doing the things we love and / or extra time with the people we love. Whether your family tradition to celebrate this time of year is Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, Winter Solstice, and/or New Year’s, I hope your children have meaningful down time to dream and wonder, to play as well as do chores, to read or listen to a great page-turner book, and to settle into whatever family time looks like for you and yours across the next two weeks.
And we have a lot to celebrate too…

We have 100% participation in the Annual Voyager Fund by our Board of Directors! |
For the first time in more than 10 years, we have 100% participation in the Annual Voyager Fund by our Faculty, Staff and Administration! |
We received another challenge match if we can reach $15,000 before December 31, 2025! Letʻs get to 100% participation from our Families in the Annual Voyager Fund on behalf of all of our students! |
