Island School student selected as finalist

Congratulations to ninth grader, Tanner, who has been selected as a finalist for the National STEM Festival. He is one of just 300 students chosen to advance to the national competition. Tanner will present a two-minute video discussing the results of his project, Impacts of Sunscreens on Algae.

If selected as a national winner, he will earn a four-day trip to Washington, D.C. this June to showcase his project. The festival also features hands-on activities, demonstrations, and talks designed to engage attendees and highlight opportunities in STEM careers and learning.
