Last week, Isle Hoops teamed up with Coach Kai Pahukoa and the Con3 Jacks from Maui to hold the first ever “Con3 Isle Basketball Clinic.” In total, approximately 25 players attended the clinic, which included the entire Isle Hoops Girls 7th/8th grade team and Island School JV Boys’ team 1. The clinic was held at the Wilcox Gym from January 31st to February 2nd.
The clinic was designed to teach skills that would help improve each players’ game, while providing an opportunity to make new friends. During the clinic, Coach Kai focused on ball handling, shooting, and defense skills, and even threw in some friendly competition games.Coach Kai also spoke to the players about work ethic and teamwork.
On Friday evening, players and parents were also treated to a special meeting with Mr. Erin Cobb-Adams from Kamehameha Schools to discuss the new Kamehameha Schools/Island School partnership.
It was a great three days of learning and fun!
Special Mahalo to:
Coach Kai Pahukoa, his team, and family for making the trip from Maui.
Mr. Erin Cobb-Adams for taking time out of his evening to talk with the players and parents.
