A Big Week for Elementary Student Council

Over the past several weeks, Elementary Student Council members have been organizing an elementary school-wide Fair to celebrate the end of the school year. The idea originally came from Student Council Vice-President and Secretary, Kennedy Braun and Makalapua Blake. The Council worked out the plan together, which involved each class coming up with a game to play. Class Representatives worked with their constituencies to plan the games. On the day of the Fair, yesterday, the students helped to set up and ran each activity. It was a hot and humid day, but everyone had a great time. And since it was also Crazy Hair Day, it was even more fun!

Many thanks to Student Council advisors, Peggy Ellenburg and Joyce Flagg, and to the elementary faculty, for helping our student leaders succeed. Mahalo also to parent and grandparent volunteers: Sandy Pham, Kawika Blake, Theresa Murray and Melissa Pegeder for supervising. A special shout-out to Miss Becky and Miss Penny who painted faces for 90 minutes!!!

As a special surprise for Student Council, President Saebrie Pegeder and VP Kennedy Braun planned a rootbeer float party for the Council on Monday.

Many thanks to Sandy Pham for these wonderful photos of the Fair. Check out the Shutterfly album for more. https://islandschool.shutterfly.com/47089 Password=islandschool
