Host Families needed for 2 weeks:

Three families are needed to host international students, Mandy 2nd grade, Eva 5th grade, and Alisa 5th grade, in collaboration with ICEducation. This is an opportunity for students from China, ages 8-12, to visit Island School between January 26 and February 8. They will attend classes and participate in activities. Through this experience, ICEducation students and Island School students will have the chance to spend time together academically and socially. This is a wonderful opportunity for our Voyager 'ohana. For more information, please contact Candice at the Front Desk.

Art Students' Final Projects!

Here's a guessing game for you:
For their final project students in high school Drawing & Painting classes created watercolor self-portraits. They worked from black-and-white photos they took of themselves. But they used surprising colors, inspired by Fauvist art of the late 1800's. Their goal was to create a likeness of themselves, staying faithful to the proportions and tones, but changing the colors dramatically. Check out some of their portraits!
These students are in ninth through twelfth grades. I wonder if you can guess who they are?
