Na Pua Keiki

Inviting our students to recreate stories lays the foundation for them to develop an appreciation for a story and fosters the love of story telling and reading. We selected the story “Where the Wild Things Are”. The students made the forest, designed their own “Wild Thing” mask, and engaged in a wild rumpus.

This year we had to rethink how we celebrate Halloween at school. We decided to engage our families. Since many children may not Trick or Treat this year families were asked to create a “Boo Box” with a trick or treat inside. The students followed curves and lines along the “Boo Walk” path  to get their treats! They also enjoyed creating potions at the “Witch’s Brew” station.
