Children’s perceptions of the natural world are linked with imagination development and experiential learning. Their learning is sensory-oriented. Na Pua Keiki teachers are advocates of fostering a love of nature through access to natural play activities and to natural places. This is the connection with the earth for young learners and contributes to children’s way of knowing.
