In order to get ready for our HAIS Mid-cycle Accreditation Visit, we hope that you will join us for a Work Day on Saturday, September 11th from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. Bring your tools to help garden, prune, paint and build on campus!
In an effort to minimize risk for volunteers, we will keep groups smaller to complete the various projects. Here is a list of some of the jobs that may need attention:
Staining and painting the new play structure on the Keiki K-1 playground
Mulching around the many different plants on campus
Painting the new portable (Niu and Hau)
Weed whacking/blade work for the Cross Country course
Pruning back the kukui nut trees
Weeding around the new fruit trees by Frear
Repainting the air rifle range with a coat of paint
Planting around the new portable
Drilling holes into playground tires
Painting the swings and sandbox on the Keiki K-1 Playground
These are just a few of the jobs that need attention. A signup sheet will be available at the front steps on the day of the event.
We would kindly ask that all volunteers wear a mask, maintain social distancing and bring a reusable water bottle. Should you bring your keiki, you will need to supervise, and try to sign up for keiki-appropriate jobs. High School students who volunteer will earn Community Service hours.
