Join Science Olympiad!

Are you a science enthusiast?? Join the Science Olympiad Club !

Science Olympiad is a track meet for science. Twenty three events involve all sciences such as earth sciences, meteorology, the solar system,  life sciences, physics, engineering, anatomy, mathematics and more. Don't you want to be a part of a club that builds character, patience,  friendships, and analytical skills? Training will start after Labor Day weekend. Compete amongst your peers to get on the team. Be brave and try out!

The Island School MS Science Olympiad Team has performed spectacularly well at the state level, ranking 7th in 2019, 4th in 2018, and 5th in 2019. We did not compete in 2020 or 2021 due to covid.

Our first parent meeting will be held Friday, September  9th from 3:10-3:30 pm in Room 7. Info will be discussed and questions can be answered. This is not a required meeting for parents, however students who wish to qualify should come to all training and qualifying events to increase their chances of making the team.
The Regional Competition will be held on Saturday, February 4th, 2023, at Kaua`i Community College (KCC). If our team does well in the Regional Competition we will be invited to represent Kaua‘i at the State Competition on O`ahu on April 1, 2023.
