Island School at the 2023 Hawaii Age Group State Championships!

Three Island School swimmers represented Kauai with their team, Swim Kauai Aquatics at the 2023 Hawaii Age Group State Championships on Oʻahu this past weekend. Maiha Kjeldsen (7th grade) lead the pack with three gold medals in the 50 fly, 200 fly and the 100 free. Maiha joined Moana Liddell (6th grade) as part of the 11/12 girls relay team that nailed it with 3 silver medals and a bronze medal finish. Moana crushed her 200 back stroke final and finished top 10 in all her events! Hannah Hovland ( 9th grade) swam an amazing state meet with best times in all her events , swam the 1650 free and also finished top 10 in all her events! The Island School swimmers joined two others from Chiefess Kamakahele Middle School and help put Kauaʻi on the map with an amazing 5th place finish over all for the girls in a field of 23 teams in the State of Hawaii. Way to represent both Kauaʻi and Island School Maiha, Moana and Hannah !
