You're Invited!
Aloha Juniors, Seniors, and families,
Please join us for our first annual Alumni College & Career Reunion on Monday, January 6, 2025 at 5pm in Island School's Main Hall.
We would like to create a new school tradition this holiday season. Please join us on Monday, January 6, at 5:00 pm for our FIRST annual Alumni College and Career Reunion! We will provide an array of pūpū and hear from a group of Island School Alumni - some recent grads and some not so recent grads who are out in the workforce. The event will be hosted by Nancy Nagramada, Head of School, Renate McMullen, High School and College Counselor, and the Island School Development Team.

We will provide an array of pūpū and hear from a group of Island School Alumni - some recent grads and some not so recent grads who are out in the workforce. The evening will include some brief introductions and then some small group rotations to hear about what life after high school has been like for our alums. Some questions that our alumni will address:
College:
- Did you attend college immediately after high school? Where did you go and what was the experience like?
- What did you major in and how did you choose it? Did you change your major?
- What advice can you give regarding adjusting to being away from home, making friends, and meeting college academic expectations?
Career:
- How did you decide your current career path?
- Describe a typical day for you in your job.
- What are the blessings and challenges of your job?
- What advice would you have for someone considering your career?
- What advice can you give regarding preparing and adjusting to financial independence, making friends and connections, and living on your own (if this is the case for you)?
The evening will be mostly casual mingling for parents, students, and alumni, and hopefully lots of reconnecting with old (and new) friends.
Feel free to invite other alumni friends (older siblings?) who might want to come, or feel free to share their email addresses with us and we will be happy to invite them ourselves!
We look forward to your help in establishing a new tradition at Island School!
