Market Day in 3rd Grade

Each year, our third grade class learns about community. Students elect a mayor to represent their class, build model bridges and buildings, and set up a market! Last week, third grade opened their market for business. Students got together in small groups to create shops and game booths, which included a temporary tattoo station, face painting, football toss, smoothie shop, and petting zoo, and invited their second grade friends to come by to shop at the market. Students in second and third grade learned about money and making change through this fun project.
