Books & Brunch is a community-building event for teens who want to celebrate their love of reading and book culture. Books and Brunch will meet every three weeks and is co-hosted by Island School English teacher Ms. Flagg and Lihu‘e Library’s young adult librarian Ms. Hampton-Eng. Every meeting we will be exploring a different genre, theme or trend in young adult literature. Ms. Hampton will bring a curated selection of books to check out to students who have Hawaii State Public Library cards. Snacks will be provided. Space is limited to 20 students in grades 6th - 8th on a first come basis. Our second meeting will be at lunch on November 15th in the LRC. Please see Ms. Flagg to sign up.
