Making Future Plans

Last Thursday during the high school retreat, several girls chose to attend the Girl's Summit was held at Wilcox Hospital. The event was sponsored by Hawai‘i Pacific Health, the Patsy T. Mink Center for Business and Leadership, and the YWCA. It was a conference for young women to develop the tools and uncover resources to help them plan for their futures. The participants focused on their strengths, were mentored by successful women in Kaua'i's workforce, and had the opportunity to learn about alternative career paths. They also had the opportunity to participate in a workshop that let them solve complex problems with creative solutions.

Our students were joined at the Summit by Kaua'i High School, Kapa'a High School, and Waimea High School students.
