May Day a HUGE Success

The Wilcox Gymnasium was overflowing on Friday with students, famiies, friends and musicians at our annual May Day program The Kani Ka Pu, Ben Griep '19, Ka‘ohu Ranis '20, Makanimanaiao‘kalani Trask '22 and Hanalei Wann-Keli‘iho‘omalu '22 opened the show. For the first time, students in every grade, from PK-12, danced, sang, chanted in celebration of the Hawaiian culture. Six of the seven Founding Mothers were in attendance to celebrate in honor of Peggy Ellenburg's retirement, making this an even more auspicious occasion.

Heading up this magnificent event were Kumu Sabra Kauka and Joyce Peralta. Mahalo nui loa to the many hands that came together to make this such a special day to all involved.
