Welcome Back!

Aloha Island School ‘Ohana,

I hope you are all well as 2024 gets underway! We look forward to our community return on Monday, January 8. While the quiet of campus can have its benefits to get administrative work done, we must admit we are missing the hum of student life to fill our campus with the fun of learning and being in community together!

If you didn’t get a chance to see my New Year message, thank you for taking 3 minutes to see the video here.

January has us deep in work right away. Student report cards will be published this month as one of the ways we share how your child’s studies went for Semester 1. I truly hope you can join us for my first Town Hall with the Island School Community on Thursday evening, January 18. I look forward to sharing with you our work along with key presentations from members of the Board of Directors regarding school finances. The following morning, January 19, marks when we will celebrate Island School’s 47th Birthday with the Founding Mothers. We you can join us on campus again for that special assembly. Both of these events will be live streamed if you are unable to make it to campus.

We have an exciting Semester 2 ahead, and thank you for entrusting us as partners in the education of your children.

I look forward to seeing you at the crosswalk, at athletic and other community events, or just around campus as we aspire each day to fulfill Island School’s mission in meaningful ways.

Mahalo,

Nancy Nagramada
Head of School
